Herringbone Cashmere
Scarf Me Herringbone Cashmere Pashminas
Some cold days are too much for a thin pashmina and not enough for a heavy coat. Scarf Me created the Herringbone line for that middle ground, with a heavier fabric and the classic tailoring weave, without losing the soft touch of cashmere.

What a herringbone weave is
Herringbone, or espinha de peixe in Portuguese, is a variation of twill in which the diagonal of the weave changes direction in alternating bands. The final design is a zigzag that resembles a fish skeleton. It is a traditional tailoring weave, used for centuries in coats, blazers, and berets, which is why it conveys a classic image even when the piece is part of a casual look.
Why herringbone weave fabrics are warmer
Compared to Cashmere Baby, Herringbone has a heavier fabric. More body means more heat retained and more structure, so the pashmina holds the shape of the knot better and keeps its volume around the neck. Among Scarf Me's cashmere lines, it is the one recommended for anyone who spends hours outdoors in the cold or travels to destinations with harsh winters.
Two-tone or single-color pashminas
In the two-tone versions, such as black with sand and green with black, the zigzag is clearly visible, because each direction of the weave highlights one of the tones. In single colors, such as navy, khaki, and baby pink, the pattern appears subtly, more as texture than as print. The two-tone pieces stand out more; the single-color ones go with more outfits.
How to wear the herringbone pashmina
Tucked inside the collar of a trench coat or a wool coat, it completes the neck protection on windy days. Over a blazer, it reinforces the tailoring reference that the weave itself carries. On winter trips, it becomes a blanket on the plane and a winter scarf at your destination.
