Do you know about Rock Day?

On July 13, 1985, the world stopped to watch one of the biggest rock festivals, which aimed to end famine in Ethiopia: Live Aid.

The event featured simultaneous shows in London and Philadelphia, featuring several renowned rock bands and artists, including The Who, Madonna, Queen, Joan Baez, David Bowie, Phil Collins, Mick Jagger, Scorpions, Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton.

During the show, Phil Collins declared that what was happening there was so important and unique in the history of music that it should be marked as "World Rock Day"!

Despite the global intention, the celebration only became popular five years after Live Aid and exclusively in Brazil, when Rádio Rock (today 89 FM) and 97 Rock FM proposed that this day be celebrated annually, and fans from all over the country joined the idea.

In honor of this day, Scarf Me brought you a moodboard to inspire you and get into the Rock Day mood!
