Uniting Art and social transformation, the TOYMANIFESTO project, created in 2013 by multimedia artist Juliana Helcer, has already raised funds for some national indigenous communities. Among them, which stands out as being the most important Manifesto made to date, was the action that brought access to drinking water to the residents of the Fulni-ô indigenous village / interior of Pernambuco, who were suffering from drought.
The artist creates each TOYART based on conversations with native people, and reports that her inspiration comes from the cultural, spiritual and environmental power that makes up our Brazilianness. The "Manifestos" are the actions through which part of the sales of the works is directed to indigenous and environmental causes.
